Android Problem Adding Email Account: Server connection error

To solve this problem we need to Add new Google account first
then we can now add new Email account.

NOTE: This tutorial is specifically meant for adding Gmail account ONLY.

ex: myname@gmail.com

Other email provider like yahoo, Hotmail, etc., cannot solve the same problem with this kind of method that we are going to follow.

1st FIRST: Add Google Account

Go to Settings → Accounts & sync

Add account

Choose Google

Draw the unlock pattern

Type your Email or Phone
then tap NEXT

Input your Password
then tap NEXT

tap ACCEPT button below

wait...

Set up payment info
To make the setup faster,
just hit No thanks on the choices
then tap CONTINUE at the bottom.

Once done, you will be directed to Account & sync window

There are two ways to add email account.

1. By adding email at Account & sync
2. By adding email at Email app

I encountered error when adding email account using the first method (Account & sync) even after I already added the Google account.

So the best way to add the Email Account is option two (using Email App)

2nd SECOND: Adding Email Account

Find the Email icon on the list of your apps

Add account

Take note of the POP3

Once you type your google email address
You may notice that the POP3 will automatically change into
IMAP(DEFAULT)
Leave it as it is.

Type your password then tap Sign in

You can leave everything as it is

or you can change your Nickname and Inbox sync frequency
as you want.

You may also wanted to Automatically download attachments when connected to Wi-Fi

Then tap Done.

That's it!

Your inbox is now synchronizing.

How to show the active character as you type it in the password field?

By default, you will see what character you are typing in the password field, and then it will turn to a solid circle for your security. But then, we sometimes accidentally changed our settings so we doesn't know why some default settings have changed. Typing a password without seeing the actual character could be a though situation especially if you can't login or access your account because you supplied a wrong information. If you open your Google Map and you are trying to tap the My Location . But then, you are seeing this information. Please enable a My Location source in system settings . And you don't know where to configure that settings. It's simple. Go to your Settings then tap the Location and security tap the Use wireless networks and last, tap the Agree. if you don't have a WiFi connection, you can't still see your My Location and you will see this notification another option you can use is your GPS check the Use GPS satellites Now, go back to the Google Map application to check if it is now working.
